I'm considering a possible viewing of this 22' boat but.....I'm not clued up on the make/model and running gear.

May I ask the forum for any advice on the set up and, if possible, the boat itself.

It has a 190hp 4.3 petrol Volvo Penta and outdrive

It has only 92 hours use since new(2007)and serviced every 2 years and kept drystacked.

Just had a Volvo dealer remove the leg, given it full service and refitted it with all new bellows, oils and anodes etc

Opinions +/- welcomed.

Spanish made boat, so you tend to see more of them around Spain and the med than in the UK.

Personally I'm not sure I would consider an outdrive on a boat like that - lots of those style boats available with a shaft or an outboard - a shaft being the easiest and cheapest to maintain, compared to a Volvo outdrive which needs new bellows every couple of years. If its cheap enough you can factor the cost of the maintenance into it over a few years, but it is always going to be a headache that you don't need.

I had a Lema Gold, 25ft.

Cheap and cheerful. Had a KAD32 so great economy and plenty of speed due to not-so-heavy hull.

Build quality not the best. I had to remove and refit the steel strake all along the boat - leaked like crazy at the screwholes. Not expensive but time consuming.

The interior was manky - PINK!! Gutted that and completely re-done with in blue, much nicer.

Engine access was a nightmare, but that may be different from you. Always important, so check out.

If I was 21 again and didn't have much spare change, i'd buy one.
