I've been looking at this for a little bit...

http://www.ybw-boatsforsale.com/Boats/138989-Leisure-23

I like the Leisure 23 class'... I'd really like a 23SL as I'd prefer to have standing headroom... but I've never seen an SL drop below £7k really... not in any decent nick anyway!

Granted from these pics, she aint pretty and no sign of what's inside...

I must say if it's on here for awhile I'm tempted to do a bit of saving and see if I can nab her... it's either that or a Corribee MkI.

I'd rather the Leisure for being a L/A (Sorry Nathan :p)

I've got the SL. I've never been on one of the originals like your looking at so can't really comment on the amount of extra headroom I have. It looks like the one in the advert is an outboard version which in my opinion would be better for living aboard as you'll have lots more storage (where otherwise this space will be taken up with an inboard engine)
There is a leisure Owners association should you require more info.

Thank,s for the info colhel :)

I've had a pokey about on the Leisure Owners site before and it's chock full of info.

I see, hmm, I really would prefer an SL with an Outboard.

Do you L/A your SL?

For such a low priced boat transport would be a large proportion of the cost. Would suggest look at what's available cheap locally to you, search all websites and all nearby boatyards, etc. to see if they're selling off anything to redeem unpaid mooring/storage fees, etc. Then move on board after the winter and enjoy...:)
