I mean pump Lpg though, not unleaded. Pump it in to your own cylinder retail and count it versus Flowgas retail.

I'm a wee bit out of touch with Autogas prices, as my LPG car is currently off the road, but I think it's generally 82p/litre here. Unlike heating gas, of course, that includes road fuel duty, although at a much lower rate than petrol. That aside, 82p/litre is £1.64/kg which would be £65.60 for 47kg. Sorry, but I still don't agree that "Buying 47kg propane is still a lot more expensive than pump [LPG]". By my reckoning they are almost exactly the same price.

You can save a fair bit if you install your own bulk tank and can persuade the suppliers to fit a liquid draw-off for cars. That has some tax implications, too, as any liquid you draw off for car use incurs road fuel duty but any gas you draw off for central heating doesn't.

I can't get Flowgas at at the 65 quid.......80 for me and I am there often. £25 quid today for 19kg.

£65.09, inc VAT.

Yeh yeh, petrol is a different price from gas ........ Blah blah

Does anyone have a Lehr outboard ??!!

Aaaahhhhh!

Someone noticed the subject of this thread!

Maybe if I post a question about the cost of fish, someone will comment on Lehr outboards!

But that's what keeps this forum lively!

I am looking forward to the PBO Test of these Gas Outboards. Bit late in coming as it must be at least 6 months since I saw the advert for them in "Powerboat & Rib" and I put a similar question to this on on the Forum asking if anyone has one.

The cost of Camping Gaz and the economy of bulk supplies are fairly regular topics of discussion, so it's not really surprising that they come up in a thread about a further use for LPG on board. I'd be interested to hear user experiences of the outboards too, though!

I wouldn't complain too much about it. If only Lehr owners had responded to your question then it would have dropped out of sight without a single answer. At least this way it is staying in view so that one person may eventually pop up to say that he has seen one.

I think the last time I thought about pumping Flowgas from 47kg into my Landrover off roader, it was 69p lpg versus the 80 quid per bottle. I think Morrisons here is still 71 ppl for LPG?
I think I have been getting taken with the bottle prices, less they have evened the price across the board to a price nearer trade.
Appreciate the info anyway sir.
Now back on topic: I don't like Robert Wyatt's strange singing voice!

After a little furtling(?) it looks, from the specs as if the 2.5kg is based on a Yamaha. So at least it's based on a good little motor.
I haven't bothered to check the other models.
