Im curiouse, we all know that it is "Maritime law" to go to the assistance of those in peril but if you dont who can you be reported to? Is this rule mearly a moral one or a legal one ?
What are the punishments? Any sailing lawyers out there?Thanks.

You also need to be aware that some countries will prosecute you for assisting would be illegal immigrants.
