Lefkas swing bridge opening hours

The following notices have been posted around Lefkas Marina this morning:

"The ferry boat will swing open for yacht passages only the following hours up to the 31st of the 7th 2016
500 730 1000 1200 1530 1800 2000 2200 and 000"

Not sure if this is a normal summer arrangement?

It isn't. But it is routine when the bridge has been sent away to Patras for maintenance.

Usually, the floating bridge is sent off for servicing in the spring but this year it's been sent now. Ho hum. The number of boats hovering round Lefkas waiting for the opening times is fun to watch.....
