Led light size

I cant find direct replacements that offer the high >90 CRI that petes do in 3000 or 3200k. Pete's are 2700K - even with the high CRI would you still avoid these (sorry pete)?
I just replaced all the interior bulbs on the DP (50+ of them, and right before hearing about those NauticLED things, unfortunately).
Now, for reasons irrelevant in this context, I got some 2800k and some 3000k bulbs.
And strictly fwiw, the onboard officer in charge of hotel operations (aka swmbo :D) slightly prefers the first, whose tone can't be very different from 2700k, I reckon.
Pretty much an each to their own thing, anyway.
Personally, I care more about lumens and angle than color temp (within reason).

I changed all of my 10W halogen to LED in 2012/3 and IIRC provided JFM with some useful info on colour temp and CRI when MATCH II was in construction. That seems like such a long time ago now, surely MATCH III must be on its way...

We normally consider 3000k to be warm white and 4000k cool white, I can dig out the chartered institute data if anyone wants to know the typical range(s). I opted for WW and consider them to be equal to or better than the halogen in terms of colour rendition and reflective index and most certainly resilience/performance, I often had to change a halogen source but have yet to change an LED and they have come on bundles in design development since then - I also used boatlamps.

Yes, I know - I cant believe how quickly time flies.

I must say though I have not had one LED source fail since then, also changed the navigation lamps to LED, likewise they remain brighter and use very little power. All I need to do now is reduce my workload so I can take advantage of the boat more!
