In my house I recently fitted some LED flat panel ceiling lights that do not need a wired switch, they have a remote control.

Has anybody found these in 12v lights? I have a refit to do and saving running cables for switching all over the boat would be a great idea. I found some of the cheap flexible strip lights with a remote on Amazon but can't find any proper lights...

Failing that can 240v domestic LED lights be reworked to 12v DC - I assume inside they have a transformer like most LED TVs etc these days. Any expert know if this can be bypassed to a direct DC feed?

I fitted 8 of these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/8-X-12V-LED-SIRIUS-RECESSED-LIGHT-CARAVAN-MOTORHOME-BRUSHED-CHROME-WARM-WHITE/201449385671?epid=1957541989&hash=item2ee751aec7:g:FUEAAOSw~bFWH3E7

Direct 12v, very bright, very good quality (not cheap Chinese rubbish).

Switched by these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MILIGHT-...hash=item33dc24363d:m:mzdR-mx_5YlGZVUNmRlqfgg

I wired two lights to each zone controller, so four pairs. I can switch all lights on with a single button, or any combination of pairs. They can be dimmed as a whole, or each zone can be individually dimmed to different levels.

Wall mount panels also available https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Panel-Co...var=511643505985&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649

There are also battery versions of the above panels.
