LED diagnostic fuses

Anyone used these on there boat? I think they could be useful to quickly diagnose blown fuses. I can never seem to spot a blown blade fuse without pulling it out first and even on my single engined boat I must have 30 odd blade fuses in 4 or more locations some of which are real quite hard to get and a simple indicator would be most useful.

Really? No breakers?!?
The only fuse I can think of in my boat is on the 12v wire of the car CD/radio, which arguably is not even part of the boat...
 
I've got a Volvo D4 with EVC and the Volvo looms are all blade fuses and very few breakers and then all the ancillaries are fused with blade fuses e.g. Fridges, radios , gps, trim tabs , so the number mounts up pretty quickly hence I might buy a bunch of these fuses to enable quick fault diagnosis especially at night.
 
I see. Well, I'd rather replace fuses with breakers in accessible panels, if at all possible. But I guess that must be a helluva job.
Re. those LED fuses, no experience at all, but I can't think of any logical reason why they shouldn't work in a boat...
 
I have used them and they are great, they identify a blown fuse without having to remove and test them all. Use them in vehicles also, great when its dark and raining and you blow a fuse, its a straight swap.

We use thousands of the things every year and you can pay as much as you like for em .
They are ALL bit primitive stoneage rubbish techno and actual current flow can vary before failure ,but they all do the the basic job more or less the same.
If an amp or two either way is critical,then these are not the things that should be protecting your goodies.:)

In the coal hole that lurks my 50 odd fuses the one shining merrily away at me
marks the end of 20 mins arm aching searching with torch/tweezers and liberal bad language

H.mm.Just need to find the one that covers fuel tank gauge,praps should have pulled it before snipping both gauge wires at once,did spark a bit !

Err .....Use thousands of them in the course of our business .......install "delicate" and "sensitive "electronic communication equipment in anything and everything that moves etc.

Will def make note to ask myself the check the wiring on me boat.:):):)

Duhh! I know - I was only pulling your (rusty) chain.

Anyway "delicate and sensitive electronic communication equipment" = mini-cab radios?? :D
