After reading a thread about the guarantee, I would like to send my wave back for repair. 3 things wrong with it.
Does anyone have a company that they they found good? I found this on the net, but would rather use a company someone has had success with.
Support & Warranty
I am wary or returning it in case it is destroyed. (Happened to a Gore Tex coat. The supposed lifetime guarantee did not cover wear and tear and they told me the delamination was wear and tear and they destroyed coat rather than returning - beats me too - but it was all above board and permissible after I looked into it.

I've returned my Leatherman Wave twice in ten years, once because the pliers wouldn't hold open, once because they broke. On both occasions Leatherman gave brilliant service, fully living up to their promise of lifetime warranty. No quibbles, no fuss, replaced with new.

On the first occasion I sent them back to the UK distributor myself. On the second occasion, in Spain, a retailer sent them back on my behalf when I asked how to get it repaired. This took six or seven weeks turnaround while the whole country was in lockdown. Pretty impressive service if you ask me

Is the uk distributor the Whitby people in my hyperlink?
Google found them as Leatherman.co.uk/support.
A piece of metal has snapped off inside that holds the tiny screwdriver in place. The tip of blade is snapped (my fault so not worried if not repaired) and a spring bit that holds other screwdriver bit in place has failed. My bodge repairs are not holding up. If I send it back I will have to clean it first. Top tool for me.

Seems to be the Whitby people. I will email them photos before sending. I would rather keep it as is than lose it or have it destroyed. It is old and does not have replaceable wire cutter bits as the modern Wave has.

Yeah, situated in Cumbria ('Whitby' had me scratching my head for a bit.) ☺

That's where I've sent them twice and had good service.

(The same can't be said for Victorinox (Swiss Army knives) who took three months and a rude letter to H.O. to effect a warranty replacement).
