Leaking Deep Sea Friction Seal

I have recently changed from an ourdrive boat to one with shafts. The boat I have is fitted with deep sea friction seal stern glands (thats what it says in the survey) and I have found that one is leaking. There is a contant drip when the shafts are turning. Can anyone offer some advice as to how to stop this?

If it's dripping it's likely worn and needs replacing - not uncommon.

Agreed, replace with pss seals.

Tides Marine seals are the business. Fit a spare seal on each shaft as well.

Bin the Deep Sea seals.
