Been working at Island Harbour, IOW and on the return ferry trip we were passed by Le Grand Bleu, Romans 'small' play boat, complete with heli on the aft deck, Sunseeker 68 'tender' and 60ft sail boat on port side, OMG what a sight!! I saw Pelorus when I was working in Antibes last time and that was pretty impressive as well. Check out www.jetsetblog.com/photos/yachts/le_grand_bleu_4.html. First time I've seen it in the UK.

Pelorus was off Juan les Pins all week last week.

The new boat's (Eclipse, the 557 footer – having just being launched from Blohm & Voss Shipyard) tenders are being made within Southampton, although probably not relevant to LGB being in the area, unless its here to collect them?

Le Grand Bleu was originally owned by John McCaw Jr., an American businessman and brother of Craig McCaw, the founder of McCaw Cellular and Clearwire. In 2002, Le Grande Bleu was sold to Russian billionaire and owner of Chelsea Football Club Roman Abramovich. In 2006, Roman Abramovich presented Le Grand Bleu as a gift to old friend Eugene Shvidler, an asset-management and one-time oil Russian billionaire who became an American citizen and is the present owner of the vessel.

P.S. It has just turned up in Dartmouth ( 11:10 )
