I have a Garmin 152 GPS which I'm quite happy with (I have paper charts and VMH charts on the tablet). I've just bought a AIS transponder and although I already have a reciever I use on the notebook I'm thinking I should get something a but more permanant.

Does anyone know a oldish plotter that will take AIS data? I'm not fussed about color, LCD would be ok as long as I can pull up info and have a visual of myself and others (a bit like the Nasa's AIS radar).

Cheers

Tom

The Vesper Watchmate 670 would be perfect for this - it’s a low-power monochrome LCD display dedicated for AIS, with really good filtering and alarm settings so you only get alerts when they’re relevant.

Sadly I believe they have discontinued it in favour of slicker colour displays, but you might find some old stock or second-hand?
