Visited the LBS at Excel. left leatherhead at 09-30 arrived excel 12-00.(taken by London minicab driver, ouch!) parked £8-00. very windy and great for water sports tank and demos (didnt happen!!!!! and refund offered on representation of ticket at reception) didnt retain mine regrettably. Venue superb. food "airport style" and v expensive (so what changes?) I purchased my annual subscription to MBY from the main stand and recieved superb service and a "free" musto bag for my trouble.alternative was an extra 3 copies of MBM or a pair of "Binos"

General feelings are that I miss Earls court, but only for the journey,
The venue was good and the outside exhibits which include a superb tour of a navy frigate (well done the Royal navy) and a tallship plus steam tug and much more was great!

In future I would go by public transport (but I am sure would regret it ) so probably wont go again. will go to Paris or smaller Palma. (same travel time). If I did go again I would take sadwiches and flask or abstain I am not "tight" but hate being ripped off!).

As for the exhibition itself, great for the disabled as all on one floor ish and plenty of access, large venue, with areas segregated eg Harbours with waterways exhibits, electronics togeather and stinkies and ragies a whole exhibition apart ))). As for the speed boat/wet bike and diving, they are all in the east hall so organisation quite well thought out. regerettably no watersports pool as yet but as previously stated a refund is available on representation of your ticket at reception.

I think others will back up what i say, but i think IPC, sometimes struggle to post freebies out at times.

Hi Alistaiir!
I took my freebee away with me. I have to say that the young lady that dealt with me, a rachael I think? was really good and very customer focussed. She did a great job.

Re: No Justice!!!!!!!!

Well just PM Kim, He'll sort it. Sheesh, the winging about nothing that goes on here sometimes is amazing.

You have a resource that can solve customer service issues directly, so use them. Same goes for marina users. If you're with MDL, you have a direct contact, who's posted his telephone number. Stop whinging here, and go direct to source.
Can't say the same for other marina operators!!

On that subject, all kudos to MDL, I've seen two or three comments on the forums (not just this one) about being overcharged and huge increases in fees. All have been resolved, and were either mistake in invoice or mistake by poster. Why not just go talk to marina manager and resolve instead of posting about huge increases which are not factual?

Get real guys (and lasses, though don't see many posts like these from the feminine contingent, so they probably go through channels to resolve issues)

Re: No Justice!!!!!!!!

sharing problems and solutions is not the same as winging as you put it.
by repeating our experiences it save reinventing the wheel, you may know everything, but the rest of us mortals need a hand sometimes,
IMHO

Demand at Southampton was higher than anticipated and we ran out of stock. That was explained at the time and a letter was subsequently sent, stating that we hoped to fulfill the missing items by early December. Unfortunately our supplier was not able to do so but the empty packages are sat in the office, with labels on, waiting to receive their bits and pieces for onward transmission. No-one will be more delighted, I am told, than the person responsible who currently cannot find her desk because it looks more like a supermarket warehouse than anything else.

Apologies for the delay -- it will be sorted just as soon as we can lay our sticky mits on the items concerned.

Re: tell you what

Well! I cant believe what I have just read! I get on to this site to help others and all I hear is a discussion about a missing free bag. I wish I had never heard of MBY. Hang on! If the person in charge of this site admits to his being, and indeed, his company being crooks, and I recieved a freebe from said company. That will make me an accessory?

yours upset

Rob
