Someone has just told me that they have moved the LBS from Earls Court to deepest darkest Essex. Is this true?
If so, starting from the Medway Towns is it best to drive there, Can I park easily?
Or if I catch a train can I cross the river at Woolwich (area) or do I have to go all the way into town and back out again?

Any help would be welcome.

They moved our trade show, oceanography international, tp Excel last year. It used to take up nearly 3 floors of the metropole hotel in Brighton but it fitted into a little corner at Excel. I don't know if the boat show is taking up the whole thing but if so, it is going to be big. After much misgivings it turned out to be easier and possibly quicker to get to from the south coast than Earls court - the jubilee line & DLR are probably the most up-to-date bits of the tube. From the east you should be even better off, avoiding London "proper" altogether.

Suspect you might be able to get a train up from Kent which interchages with the extended DLR (Lewisham maybe). Then rattle under the river on the Noddy Train to get you all the way there.

PS If you're lucky you get to sit at the front and pretend you are the driver.

Go by train to London Bridge - thence by Jubilee line.
Should be a peice of cake

London Underground

"ExCeL has easy access to the Jubilee Line Extension at the major new Canning Town interchange. Only 700 metres from ExCeL's western entrance, the journey time from Canning Town to any of the three on-site DLR stations is approximately 2 minutes.
Docklands Light Rail (DLR)

The Docklands Light Rail (DLR) runs along the northern boundary of ExCeL and there are three DLR stations servicing the site - Royal Victoria to the western entrance, Prince Regent at the eastern entrance and Custom House for ExCeL in the centre. The centre station has been named specifically Custom House for ExCeL and will be identified as such on all maps. The DLR provides direct links into the London Underground network and runs a shuttle service from the major Canning Town interchange station to all three stations at ExCeL. "

The easiest way to find the directions is to go to the london transport website and look at the underground/DLR.

From it I find it will take me 31 minutes longer and cost £1.20 more. This is totally insignificent to my journey time and costs.

Agree Excel is much easier for those of us who have trains direct in to Waterloo or London Bridge. Best time from Excel to London Bridge has been under 40 mins and most South Coast towns have direct trains to these termini or one easy change at East Croydon, CJ
