just been reading an article on sailing and it mentioned a lazyman's gybe does anyone know what this is/

Probably what happens when the boom comes across unintentionally when the helm is not looking. On most UK cruising boats is also known as a F*** it! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Never heard of a lazy man's gybe but could it be a tack? No need to gybe at all! Even used by racers in heavy weather.

The key word is board: surfboard!
Its not easy to 'beach start' a five-ton yacht!

I think it's when somebody can't be bothered to think of a witty riposte.

For instance " your father is a hamster and your mother smells of elderberries" is a good example.

"b0llox" would be lazy.

Or is that spelled jibe?
