Lazy jacks

Just a brief question about junk rigs.The lines that go under the boom are they fixed or free running?
Thanks any answers.

when I had a junk rigged boat the lazyjacks were fixed under the boom but free to run through the eyes on the lines from the mast, much like the ones I have on my bermudian rigged boat now.
