If you choose the concrete ,.. you have to put up with the grumpy Brenda behind the bar. She smiles for her friends and is very short with everyone else. The bar will close during the meal and the place will be like a morgue by the end..


However the food is very good

There are swinging moorings at RCYC and also a pontoon to store dinghies or there is Burnham Marina.

I have an incredibly posh yacht… Indeed it is one of only three in this country … yet the Brenda woman was giving me an face full of scorn and bad attitude when we stopped overnight on the end of the pontoon. And at the time I was a member.

We resigned on account of her.

Sadly, Brenda can overcome all attempts at merriment if she doesn't like you.

By the way, I always found the RCYC staff to be very courteous and accommodating when I was a member
