Looking at the tides, the distance and the start and passage times, Jane was rather blunt about sailing to and from the dinner. Too blunt for her comment to get through the sweary filter thingy!

Frankly, and especially in the light of the forecast now for Sunday, she had a point (I'm going to struggle to really enjoy the evening with an 05:00 start on Sunday morning especially faced with the Wallet in a SW4 gusting 6 :ambivalence

There's nowhere to stay within walking distance and I don't much fancy going without a drink all evening

In any case, when I did look all the nearby hotels are fully booked on Saturday night and a definitely don't fancy a five hour round trip by car on the night

And finally ... we've both got three nights off this weekend which doesn't happen more than twice or three times a year and it's an ideal opportunity to get some graft in on doing the house up so we can sell the dump ... I mean palace!

FullCircle safely tied up in RHYC... I believed the GFS forecast, rather than the rather pessimistic Met Office one... And it was right. Met forecast Bf 4 to 5.. we had 5 to 6 kts... So a motor, but a pleasant one under a spectacularly starry sky!
