The one time we were on Muck, he was out in overalls and wellies repairing THE road with tar. That night there was a super Celidh in the Community Centre, so we joke that we have danced with the Lord and Lady of Muck.
 
He was a rare commodity, a laird who lived and worked in and on behalf of the land he was a custodian of. He will be greatly missed.
 
I like the story where he got into trouble for selling unpasteurised milk to tourists. When asked again he said he couldn't sell or even give them milk, but he could help them steal some!
