lawns in the marina

That was by Dogwatch, who no longer posts on the forum, most of it is now irrelevant as Photobucket if set correctly now automatically sizes pictures.

Photobucket is definitely the way to post pics, no meaningful limit on number of pics held.

The in house scheme has a limit on no. of pics so prolific pic posters have to periodically delete, which renders their old posts pictureless.

Also IMO, posts with the pics properly sized read better than those with thumbnails.

thumbnails via the ybw are useless

There have been a couple of 'bits' left out of the instructions above:)
In pb select your pic.
Top r/h box select 'direct' the box goes yellow and shows 'copied'.
Go to your thread/post, make sure the cursor is where you want the pic to appear.
Select 'insert image' 3rd icon from the right.
Select 'From URL'
'Paste' into the box that appears.
Deselect the tick in the little box below.
Click okay & your pic should appear.
Sometimes only the url shows until you click 'post'. Probably better to click on preview first :) Good Luck!!

as long as you don't want to display the image full size - often a thumbnail is good enough to make a point IMHO !- i've added a thread on easy ways to upload pictures. much easier than photobucket

apologies if this is egg sucking but it is dead easy to do it from your pc this way
