Lavac outlet spigot

The outlet spigot on my Lavac (c1979) came adrift from the bowl today and needs to be stuck back in. This model obviously pre-dates the Popular and Zenith as there is no separate base unit. Does anybody know what was used originally to stick the spigot into the porcelain or shall I go ahead and use Sikaflex?

I have the same Lavac and I had the inlet spigot break off and I stuck in a nylon replacement in using sikaflex and has been OK in use for 4 years so far.
