Yanita's head is in urgent need of replacement. The current Jabsco finally gave way.

I'm looking to replace it with the Lavac Popular model. I've looked at most chandlers, but have as yet been unable to locate a UK based retailer. (I may just be blind/thick)

Any pointers/website links?

Hi Yanita,

You are going for the best marine toilet on the market IMHO, but I would definitely spend the extra, as suggested by Tillergirl, and get the Zenith version. I whole lot better and more comfortable. And, like Tillergirl, I also fit the Popular!!

A final thought. Unless you are hell bent on asthetics, I wouldn't go for the concealed (underdeck) version of the pump, which is a double-barrelled bas**rd to service unless you have excellent rear access to it.

Cheers

Jerry

Sound advise - thanks a lot, one and all.

Agree with you on installation. Anyway, underdeck is not an option for us - Etap flotation foam under the heads.

Size - I know it's only a difference of a couple of centimeters, but they are centimeters we haven't got. Will be a tight fit as it is.

I bought one earlier this year. Tried most of the on-line chandlers and the ones advertising in PBO - prices varied from £199 upwards, and no-one had them in stock - some quoting about 4 weeks.

Bought mine from Yacht Parts in Plymouth - very helpful, and it arrived within a day or two.

Very pleased with it, but so far untried with number twos.
