We have a small Glasston boat that we use on the Thames, normally I keep her at home and launch each time we use her. Last year only once >:( (running costs about £200 a year) so this year we have put her in the marina in Oxford for 2 months which means hopefully we will use her more. Now possible for a quick evening trip to the pub

Enjoy! and it ain't how big a boat is it's how you use it. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Anyway you can get into spots where larger boats can't.

Go upstream (you'll have so much headroom under the Botley road bridge), and onto the bit that larger boats can't use.

"Proper" locks that are a pleasure to use when EA have got rid of all their staff, and your boat is much more in scale.

Go downstream and the trolls will get you...

Yep fit under the bridge Ok, have been up to the Trout a few times, a bit shallow but we can get right up to the patio area.

Your in a good position at Osney there with interesting trips up or down river or up the Oxford Canal. If you get a BWB license as well you can do the Oxford ring, a good weekeend trip. Turn into the canal just above Osney bridge and come back onto the Thames through Dukes cut or continue up to Banbury etc...

You should consider joining the Osney Boat Club, nice bunch, they only seem to have one rally a year though and that is downstream to me.
