Thanks for that OG

After a lock breakdown at Chatham this morning I’m still there.

By the time they fixed it I missed the tide and would have arrived at Teddington in the dark, hence I’ve postponed for 24hrs.

I’m running back up the Thames on Fri 22/07 same as you, but in my case at a very sedate pace. Don’t make too much wash as you overtake and give me a wave?

The passage plan states 3 speeds.
RCC to Folly 6 knots.
Folly to Sheerness 8 knots.
Sheerness to Barrier 10 knots
Barrier to St Kats 8 knots.
All with the tide. :)

I cruise at 6 through the water, the rest is in the lap of the gods.

I hope to achieve an average of 7-8 SOG.
I did see 9 on the way down

I am going to depart Chatham a little earlier than I should because I’m fed up sitting around; that will see me hitting Sheerness just before LW and I’ll have to punch the tide past Yauntlet Flats for a while, but against a stream predicted to be less than 1 knot.

I expect to see you approaching from astern at some point.
