I've just been playing with the "buttons". Watching the progress/tracks of the fleet from the start to current positions (in high speed) looks like the start of the human reproduction process!!

Jean-luc Van Den Heede seems to have gone into Hobart/Tasmania -

If so, what was the reason?

Is that permitted?
Or is it an obligatory stop/course for the GGR competitors?

Looks like he went "between two marks" then came out again.
If so, not quite the same as the original GG RTW ethos.

Its an obligatory stop for media interviews and handover of film / video. He was there for around 3 hours apparently

It's worth reading the Rules, which helps to make sense of what they're doing. Look around in the pull-down menus at the top of the 'Live Tracker' page.

Oh, and there are some interesting photos posted in the relevant thread on Sc'but.....
