Late Season Cruise to Mallorca - lots of drone footage

Great video Mike. I had hoped to be posting some similar footage this season. After a few practice flights at home I brought the Phantom 4 out to Cala d'Or in August only to find that it had developed a fault. The remote controller would only work when plugged into the mains! A quick google found I wasn't the only one affected and the whole lot had to go back to DJI... in the Netherlands! I started to wish I had waited and bought it at an Apple shop rather than online. I hope to try again later this month now that its fixed.

Yep - the Cala d'Or crew need to get their drones out - you have some fantastic anchorages to show us.
Make sure you fit a polarising filter so the we can see the bottom - or better still - get some of JFM's flying boats.

Yea - I wondered that myself - that then JW started to outrun it.
Probably just my flying - maybe next time it will be able to keep up!!

You need to switch to Sport mode (having first enabled different flight modes in the controller software).

Pick a very wide open space to test it because it's unbelievably quick. I mean hunt you down and vaporise you quick to the point where when you throttle off the thing keeps going for a while as it slows down.

Late to this thread, sorry - thanks for posting Hurricane. At 6'17 did I see the same distinctive Targa 43 that also made an appearance in the National Lottery advert that we discussed the other day?

After all, Soller is only a few miles away from Santa Ponsa.

So, I had a look at my waste footage and I've almost got her "flying" - not as good as JFMs flying boats but nearly.



For me, flying boats has got to be a challenge for next year.
