A group of Sant Carles boats cruise in Mallorca.
Mixture of yachts, catamarans and motor boats.

Lots of drone footage.
It is a bit of a success for me - being a novice drone pilot.
I'm getting better but I know I still need more practise - practise - practise.

The drone is going home with me next week so I will do a lot more during the winter months.

Anyway, I hope you like the video.
It seems that those boat owners in the clips like it.

And here is the actual link - uploaded in HD 1080

Great video but the music was torture! I thought i was on hold with the Inland Revenue about to get a grilling!! JFM gets the sound track right, (or his son does) Zara Larsson, Chain Smokers* but to name a few. *Every time i hear that track on the radio i think about the video* Impact! I love your posts and videos but the musak sucks lol. :encouragement:

Enjoyed that, The shot of JW planing away 'going home' was particulaly good

Nothing wrong with a bit if Kenny G either

Very nice footage and great looking boats - well done with the drone.
I've barely used mine this season due to a firmware update killing the rf connection - coupled with the fact that it's on its way back to the uk for resale while I wait for the Mavic.
Which catamaran was that you were cruising with, an L52?

Great video Mike. I had hoped to be posting some similar footage this season. After a few practice flights at home I brought the Phantom 4 out to Cala d'Or in August only to find that it had developed a fault. The remote controller would only work when plugged into the mains! A quick google found I wasn't the only one affected and the whole lot had to go back to DJI... in the Netherlands! I started to wish I had waited and bought it at an Apple shop rather than online. I hope to try again later this month now that its fixed.

Enjoyed the video especially the Santa Ponsa footage as I was staying at one of the waterside apartments earlier in the year looking out onto the anchorage with my bins, very envious of some of the craft that were there at the time.

Great video Mike,

How fast can that thing fly? The shot where you catch up and overtake the skier means the drone must have been shifting?

The Mavic does look good doesn't it. Does it lose much in capability over the Phantom 4? Is there a resale route through DJI or are you simply flogging it? Im thinking I might do similar.
There has been some negative reviews regarding the image quality, it seems to be down to the way the Mavic camera focuses. The good stuff I've seen online is on par.
Controller is a proper PlayStation type pad that hold your phone, range is 4m and speed is upped.
Still has the sensors and so in so looks a real bargain ;)
Selling on ebay I think, (someone at work does that for me)
Will let you know what it goes for...

Great video Mike. Brought back many memories :)

I remember when JW was in the Solent and Magnum (at the time) was in Torquay and you arranged a helicopter to get this kind of footage.
Shame that JW wasn't in Torquay at the same time.
I remember you saying that it would have been good to get the two boats together.
As it happens, I was very much a novice at the time - lots of water under the flybridge since those days.
