Although the forecast was not wonderful set off on Sat morn for Maidstone Town Centre.
Started out out downstairs but eventually went aloft after wrapping up well. Not many boats on moorings and awoke to an ice covered boat.Very nice Hardy parked next door to us,the very adventurous skipper of which had taken his boat beyond Maidstone and had just returned from East Farleigh.

Next club outing is in November and thats the last organised run out.
Not that bad a year all things considered and managed to catch up a bit boating wise towards the end .

It is called Sandpiper and was bought over from Eire by its present owner.Had a natter with the skipper while waiting at lock.
Long time narrow boaters and after selling old boat were casting round for something new,she wanted another narrowboat...he wanted a Hardy...:)
