Wheres she off to Tom ?

Heres your old boat just off Cap du Whitstable :)as good as The Med but without the constant swell /manky wind twice a day and twenty other boats all anchored in the same 100 square metres of water off the beach:)

So what next then, will you soon be known as "VeryLargeSunseekerTom" in the near future.

sad or not?

Well, Mixed feeling I had a really good nearly two years with a brand new boat, not a care in the world. and a good job to pay for it !

When I bought the boat (July 2008) people thought I was mad, Oil prices at the pump were 135P and an oil barrel was in the £147 price tag.

Now I lost my job (not sad at all, got my freedom) and I sold the boat at a small profit as well.

So all in all , I have really good memories of the boat, I have learnt a lot, my first planning hull and at 35 knots, you learn quick.

on to the next one? whatever it is.

Tom

PS I never regret anything just look forward to new experiences.

It only seems like six months ago that you were posting about acquiring that boat. Time flies.

Best of luck with the next one!

Its all about experiences.

Good post Tom, where is the photo of the pearl 43 in the background is it st kats?

Dont ignore us now you havent got a boat, keep us entertained here.

Get looking for something new and make another profit, there is some good boats out there at the moment.

Seems the aussies are buying here as a p57 a mates after is under offer and sea trial tomorrow at hamble point.

Long way to sail it back though.

Hi Paul

Yes it is St Kats , Quite an unhappy Pearl 43, no Owners or clean in sight.

You will be fitting my oil filter and anodes on some Dutch boat soon.

And do not worry I am not going very far and already have my sights on some boats.

You will need a power cut to keep me away !

Tom

Sorry you're boatless again Tom, but it was a bit posh, time to get back to the real world with oily engines and overheat alarms in true Medway stylee, and remember , if you don't come back from a trip without wearing plasters your likely to be shunned. :)

You never know with currencies , things could change very quickly?

Tom

Maybe just wishful Tom, as I travel to Britain reasonably often, its depressing exchanging our monopoly money for a strong currency.

Seems like decades since Sterling was even vaguely affordable for buyers with our dollars, the timing worked well for you though Tom.
