So some quack has come up with a formula that predicts today to be the grimmest day of the year. Something to do with the Christmas buzz wearing off and a grim, January Monday morning.

Well I got out in my Laser yesterday. Twas a beautiful, crisp clear day with a nice F3 breeze. Not another boat in sight. With a good diving thinsulate and drysuit I was stewing!

Lasers have to be the biggest thrill to the buck! Still glowing with euphoria.

Can anyone advise what is the optimum number of wraps of the mainsheet round the legs when a)tacking and b)gybing?

Regards to all

Was on my Laser yesterday too. Brilliant day....

Stuff this thing about today being depressing reflect on yesterday and forget you are working.

Yep me too. Just got mine to get rid of the racing bug. How many others of you have a Laser for the winter ?

agree 100% - thouroughly enjoy racing laser on local pit during winter and yesterday good breeze and good result-had to smile - my 12year old has just started dinghy racing also in a club topper and someone asked him what we sailed during the summer-a dehler 34 he said- do you race it he was asked?- only if there is any other boat anywhere near us when dad is sailing he replied-true of course!
