Larger alternator pulley for river use

I have been looking at my amp output at low revs running on the river and wanted to look into getting a larger vbelt pulley on my domestic alternator.

(Volvo penta Kad44 vbelt style)

I am fully aware that it will throw out my Rev counter accuracy but wanted to ask if anyone has done it and what was the results and where did u get the pulley from

Surely if you put a bigger pulley on the domestic alternator, you'll have fewer RPM at the alternator and less output at a given belt speed?
