Lanzarote Spain to Madiera

Sailing back to Mainland Spain from Lanzarote end of August/Sept.
Anyone done this route via Madiera. I dont expect any major problems but very little on you tube. The prevailing winds should be North or NE hence out to Madeira before turning east for bottom of Spain.

I know people who've done it direct, with helpful winds all the way; and people who've felt compelled to go via the Azores. Both to Southern Spain in early season: April/May. I suspect the winds are somewhat more predictable at the time you propose. Hope you find good ones.
