I am in Torrevieja with 13.6 metre sailing yacht and would like to move yacht to Mediterranean France. We do sail her but often go for
2 week Or More On trips rather than day sails. but my grown up children also use as a base for holidays without taking her out. So nice surroundings is more important than necessarily sailing locally and I note there may be some options going inland if you are patient with bridges. So most of what I read say western Mediterranean Languedoc might be possible but need to turn up with yacht and ask nicely. This is bit.risky as might say no. I would be happy to visit withoit
Yacht and tour marinas but be grateful for advice if any chance of place at moment either coastal
Marina or inland slightly. Thank you in advance

I can’t speak for the sea ports in that area...but I have inland boated there a lot...and of course been to other sea ports in the French Med....and yes, you can just show up...most inland ports are quite casual...or phone ahead....if it's peak time then it’s a lottery.....all ports have visitor moorings...my advice is to stop for the day early...don’t be one of those people who wants to use up every moment of day light travelling only to find all places are taken and you have to travel in the dark to the next port.
You can also anchor at sea....or pull up alongside in inland waters...invest in stakes and a two pound hammer so that you can secure yourself
