I need to take Chausey, my Westerly 33 from Plymouth to Cardiff August 7/8/8th. I don't have my almanac at home and would like to do some passage planning. Does anyone know the best time to round lands end?

Runnel by HW Dover +5
HWD 11:51 UTC 7/8 and 12:33 8/8
Effectively being about 20 miles off at HWD
Keep relatively close inshore as prudent and aim to be at Runnel on time. Nip round the inside of Longships, if the weather is good, and Robert is your mother's brother.

I've just downloaded the Wiley almanac and it looks like going round Landsend at or just before LW looks like the best way to get the best push up the Cornish coast. It's a bit late tonight to start looking at Dover times, so I will wait until tomorrow for that. Many thanks for your reply.

Lands end plan

I've just got back from the boat and the Reeds Almanac says to be off Runnel rocks at HW Dover -3hrs. This would be 22-13 BST on the 7th August or 10-36 BST on the 8th August. I plan to go round on 8th after a night in Newlyn as I want to try the inner passage and prefer to go round in daylight. Has anyone done this and is there anything extra to look out for?
