Thought I might combine cruising with some helpful golf practice at the same time. Sand Iron will fit nicely in the tender. There never seems to be a bunker to play in at driving ranges.

Where might there be nice sand with a chance of finding the balls again ?

I am not a golfer. However I thought bunkers were full of dry sand, not hard wet stuff?

Need to land somewhere with dunes, there are a lot of these on the Norfolk coast, but perhaps not many very easy to land at. Wells perhaps?

A possible alternative, Harwich town beach is sandy in places with soft sand above high water, could anchor off or pick up a mooring between the Guard shoal and the breakwater.

Thanks for the suggestions lads !

Hacking away on the Middle Sunk sounds pretty cool to me.

Think I might do a reccy by car first on the areas suggested.

The sand at Harwich is very good but I could possibly thin one in the direction of the Pilot Station or VTS.

Don't want people to think i'm some kind of nut !

If you see me practising on the East Coast please come on over and see how well i'm improving.

.

A reccy of the middle sunk by car would be an interesting exercise in itself:D

Pye sands at low water, Barrow sands might also be interesting at LW, we anchored in the Barrow swatchway once surrounded by 'nice' sand.
