Landing in Pye Fleet

I hope local knowledge will abound. After viewing the Air Show at Clacton we may well end up heading for the Pye Fleet. We have a Lab on board and will need a run ashore, can anyone advise on best locations re anchorage and getting ashore cleanly at LW.

There is a hard opposite the moorings on the Mersea shore which I think belongs to the Oyster company but this may well not be for public use. Probably the best bet would be to go ashore at Mersea Stone or sample the fleshpots of Brighlingsea

Seem to remember you can walk to the pub at East Mersea from that hard - no secure place to leave a tender though and I suspect it still gets muddy around low water

you can get ashore at stone point at any time of the tide

although it could be a tough row as the tide rips past there pretty fast

if you don't draw much it shelves so steeply you can probably stick your bow up on the shore and not even use the dinghy
