I draw approx 5.5 feet and am considering a course to Black Deep via Languard Point to South Cork and will be likely to be doing so at or near low water.
The course will take me to the southern tip of the Cork Sand and to a depth 0.5 above chart datum near the South Cork buoy itself.
I wouldn't normally choose to put myself in such shallow water but am working on the basis that with a keen eye on the echo sounder it should be fairly straight forward to get myslef into deeper water by heading south should I get a bit nervous (set aside a rising tide as well).
Does anyone have any thoughts or experience on this?
Thanks
