Best time to arrive and be reasonably certain to be able to moor on the bit you are supposed to moor on.
If packed out with narrow boats and other berth blockers, anywhere very closeby that will do for an overnighter and preferably with the ability to get to the shops.?

If it's full (and you're lucky), there is a rarely used mooring just on the bend to your right where the pubs are.
Failing that, why not ask one of the friendly liveaboards if you can moor alongside? ;)

How far up you coming? If you reach me I will be delighted to offer you a discounted overnight mooring. I will charge you one mug of black coffee without sugar.

Try going to port just below Shepperton Lock. E.A. moorings just opposite to Weybridge Mariners' Club.

If full you can moor on left bank just below these moorings if you are not too long or... I have moored on the Desborough Cut if it's not too shallow.
