Any of you know of this boat, just looking for info for a friend on it

I am going to look at a boat in conwy on Wednesday, I was there over the bank holiday and was in the the NWCC that boat was mentioned I think it is a live aboard.

Not so much dodgy as avoid. It is owned by a legally blind person and never went out. Engines were mismatched last I saw it. One 6 cylinder and one 4 cylinder as he got stiffed by another lad on the river who a couple months later ws found hanged on his liveaboard. River life. It seldom if ever went anywhere and sank during these last winter storms. They had the gall to put it on my berth and subsequently all my mooring lines disappeared. It's a handsomely large interior and in her day must have been a right cracker but years of half hearted get by maintenance and sheer age means she is what we in the classic car hobby would call a bare metal retoration job. And for that you'd never ever get your money back. Not even Mr Googler could pull this one off. However if you want a floating mill stone, help yourself. The owner is desperate to sell as I think he's in debt or something or the insurance didnt pay out. SOmething odd because after it was refloated it was in the cradle for a day then sat for the next two weeks on the fuel pontoon waiting a tow back to berth. No remedial works could have been undertaken.

Thanks Bruce. Ia going down tomorrow with the chap to look at it. Well I will send on your info and see if he still want to look at it as he is coming from Reading.

Hey, it's a nice day out and when you're down you can buy me an icecream. We have plenty booze onboard and we might be persuaded to share some. Much depends on the quality of the icecream here. You'll find us on the furthest outpost of Deganwy seawall now. Catch the river taxi over if it's HW

Well hope it will be nice. Not been out in months anywhere, need a day out lol. I just told him though about your thoughts and he is having second thoughts. Seemed to cheap at £5k. Worth a look but if it's been tk the bottom and back. And what ice-cream you like. Some thing nutty or fruity ?

Fruity, I'm partial to strawberry, but I will take what I can get. 5k is not a bad price for what it is. He was asking a helluva lot more for it initially. 4x plus some. At 5k it is a potential resto job. If your mate spent some money repowering it and you waved your wand then maybe 20-30 large thoroughly torn and wetted would leave him something that was presentable and seaworthy. But in all honesty, if your mate thought he'd buy a 10m 5k boat and go sailing he's a bit of a plonker and should be told to stop being such a dreamer.

Bruce ave you a good description of the History of the vessel as she stands Wayne
The 'Make' has a Pedigree but is still a 'project' as She lays.
Whether She is suitible for your Friends needs is a question
I will be in Deganwy Marina not far from Bruce from Midday today and for the next few days
Berthed nicely at arms length from Bruce
Just fixed the fridge but theres F All innit, innit!
See, these 'Projects' are a laugh a minute but I can advise on the 'Coronet' brand though
So you are welcome to pop over for a Coffee
Because I need your advice
On my domestic water supply
Stern Glands
a 12 volt supply problem
3 dials on the dash that are fluctuating
Some gelcoat snags
Some carpentry
How to splice multiplat rope
And figure out what a Spurlash is
Bloody Lark this Project Motor Boat Lark is
Wish I'd a stuck to motorbikes!!!

Ow do kida, chap who is interested is down Reading so he is after some ody to go and do a ideo of the boat and look over it, a report of its worthness. So that means we are not heading down now. I think it seems a good boat for the cost, good boats.
If you are after a quick earner maybe.

I am.off out now for supplies for my boat to get more done.

Kwakkers is your man for the survey. He has his own personal radio to send out a pan pan. Mine sunk when my tender flipped. Wing him a couple hundred and he'll be all over it like a bilge rat.
