La Trinite / Lorient

You could try www.hotel-alicia.com in Le Bono, just south of Aurey and therefore closer to your targets. We stayed there in Oct and it was quite pleasant, OK restaurent if needed. about 65 euro/night. Bear in mind it is way out of season, so most places will be closed.

Bu++er, just checked my link and it is closed till 8/feb. There are several in La trinite and a few road houses on the way. The annual holiday is a prob right now.

There is a good restaurant in the village square, and a good pizzaria/little cafe restaurant in Rue Pasteur "Le vieux pont" (Cafe Fred) /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. Eating out midweek can be a problem off-season, but it's OK at the weekend. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

My personal choice is Lorient - have spent a few weeks back and forward a couple of years back. I found La Trinite too "touristy" Lorient on the other hand had excellent choice of resturants and coffee shops and a more casual/relaxed atmosphere. The harbour also enjoys a range of good eating houses overlooking the marina. Stayed at the Mecure hotel close to harbour think 50 euro night but also sailed from Lorient for a few weeks including La Trinite.
Vannes would be my next choice.
Hope this helps as it seems your replies favour La Trinite.
