KTL 56 is up - 10 min film about the Ore Spit - its free

I dunno how you do it, Dylan, but you do it so well.

Website; neat with calm colours; quick easy links; just a few typos.

Any chance of hoisting your camera up the mast to have a bit of a higher level view from time to time? I know that 'eye-level' is supposed to relate to being human, but it might make for some visually different shots.

Very glad to read that the slug is alive and well. More power to your tiller arm over the next months.

nathan tried it and broke the camera - my big one is worth £3,000 - so if you are prepared to underwrite the risk - I'm game - bring your checkbook, life jacket and ladder

seriously though I have thought about it for the small one - easy enough to do - just run the tripod up the penant halyard

but keeping the camera still at deck level is tough enough

mind you with 500 subscribers at $4.99 plus the lovely people who click on the odd advert - the "Coast" style helicopter shots can't be far away can they

Hey Dylan

I can take a hint from a deserving mariner, and just signed up for three months. Painless, quick, easy, BUT

I get an error message

"

The rest of the forum is queued up to sign on as well.....

email me and I will set you up manually

I will create a log in

no idea why you have that message - you are the first as far as I know - had about ten sign-ups today - although I have no idea how many people failed to sign up

all feedback gratefully received

Music change

Once again Dylan, you've not only captured the 'image' of the place, but the 'feel' too.... I think one of my favourite KTL's so far.

thats very nice of you

the music comes from an American sailor who plays in a Celtic Band

http://www.celticnots.com/

he says I can have it for free for the films - which is great

Loads more films to come through the winter

sorry I write in typos - type too fast for the average keyboard and I have fat fingers

so when did paypal snooker us - as soon as you hit the button?

or later on

have both

Great stuff Dylan - almost enough to trade my fin keeler for a little bilgy. Almost.

Thanks for a few minutes escape from Autumn.

why not have one of each

seriously if I had the money I would have a big boat and a trailer sailer for ditch crawling. It is the most tremendous fum

I really feel sorry for you depth challenged wallahs.

Sure I will be hiding in harbours when you guys are out facing the elements - and I can never sail to a schedule.

but then I get to visit places like this

Dylan

back the very long thread about 30 footers

It's not the cost of small boat that deters me - it's the cost of divorce settlement.:D

you are correct - relatively speaking the cost is pretty small

I reckon it would be worth doing for one season

come you big boat boys - have one year of back to basics sailing

the very essence of small boat voyaging

Mind you the petrol costs for getting to and from the boat are really hammering my finances

£40 worth of petrol for a round trip from Oxford to Wells and back

Then perhaps the slug could be chartered to Google to produce a "Google River-view" :D:D
