Krusty (piota) r.i.p.

Very sorry to learn of your loss. If I'm not mistaken, he was still posting and giving good advice up until the last month or so. He also appeared as Piotaskipper on Bluemoment where he was equally held in high esteem. Nothing can diminish your grief, but I hope and trust that you can draw some comfort for the fond regard with which he was held.

I'm sure we all wish to extend our sincere condolences to yourself and his loved ones.

We met him in Norway. Knowledgeable, generous, understated, good company. He was a credit to himself and I am glad to have known him if only slightly.

I once exchanged some messages with 'Piota' about boat handling and riding sails. He was very helpful and courteous. I'm sure if I had ever had the opportunity to meet him I would have enjoyed his company.

My thanks to all who have taken the time to post. Your comments and condolences are very much appreciated. Dad may be gone but I know he is not forgotten. A life well lived.

A bit belated but just to add to thecondolences and respect shown to a forumite who was clearly a gentleman, well informed and patient with others not possessing his in depth knowledge. A sad loss to humanity and the forum.

I was lucky enough to meet your father in Arisaig on occasion, and he was a a thoroughly good guy, generous with his knowledge (which was extensive).

Sorry to hear of your loss, but as the tone of the messages here suggests, he was much admired and won't be forgotten.
