I'm considering a krusport pro lifejacket as they are supposed to be the most comfortable LJs around. Just a couple of questions

Are they available with hammer auto inflation

And are they user serviceable ie. can I check/change the gas bottle and firing mechanism myself?

Presumably you want the Hammar because you believe they are less prone to false triggers? The bottle and firing mechanism is very well protected, I don't think this will be a problem. Self maintenance is not a problem.

And yes, they are extremely comfortable, although my wife (34DD) would disagree.

Bottle is very easily replaced. Firing mechanism is easily checked too (although I confess I am basing this information on the manual version - but can't imagine the auto is any different).

I find mine comfortable - but still worth trying on first if you can, we're all different. I do find mine a bit of a faff to remove sometimes.

Don't think there is a hammar version; given the price of rearm packs I have no complaints about that! No problems servicing it - at first the repacking looks a bit intimidating, but if you pay attention to how it comes out then it will all go back in without too much difficulty.

The Kru Sport Pro has just been revamped and is now even better. Don't think there is a Hammar version though.

I've just been shopping for lifejackets, and bought Crewsaver Ergofit 190N. Comfortable, good features. And they do a Hammar version.

That's a good point; the old model (and by the looks of it, the new) strangely does not include a light. Definitely something that should be fitted.

VERY pleased with ours....one of the most comfortable I 've tried...but we are all different. But being so comfortable and easy and quick to don, means I do so more often.........

I bought mine from here: http://www.mailspeedmarine.com/life...-iso-lifejacket-auto-harness-with-light.bhtml, with light included. Harness version has integral sprayhood too.

Only used for a couple of trips in the dinghy so far, but seems comfortable and quick to don with zip fastening.
