Anyone planning to stop at the harbour at Kormen on the Datca peninsular in Turkey should be aware that the harbour is being rebuilt. Its a building site at present (June 2013) and mooring is tricky as there are no bollards or rings and the quayside is currently only 30cm wide at present (I did say it was WIP). There are no facilities at all and the restaurant has gone !

It is still usable but only as a stop over. We used it as an overnight stop on way to KOS. (Dont tell me - I know Kormen is not a port of entry )

I understand that it is being developed as a marina. Anyone have info on this?

The ammount of work going on would seem to support that theory. Its not just a freshen up of the old harbour. All new quay being built over the old and looks like they are dredging in the basin as well. The "town" is completely dead and the only sign of life is from the construction workers "village" that theyve built by the harbour.
