Got a set of Konus Tornado binoculars with inbuilt compass. Think also sold as various own brand chandlery binoculars.
Not expensive but worked very well ..... until combined to drop and stand on them
Base binoculars still work OK - but the grid lines and black section which coves the compass reading inside the right hand side has swung 40 degrees out of true, partly blocking the view and making bearings impossible.
Anybody had this problem and fixed it - or indeed knows how to open them up to have a look at fixing. Looks to be near the eyepiece, but not apparent whether this can be removed to access
