Yep - you are right, apologies for getting everybody's hopes up
Time for lateral thinking. As 2-core 10mm2 seems to be fairly difficult to find in small quantities, perhaps you might consider using 4-core 6mm2 rubber sheathed cable. This will give you even less voltage drop, is more flexible, and is relatively cheap - less than £3 a metre at http://www.cse-distributors.co.uk/a...Cable---4-Core-6mm--H07RN_F_4C_6.html#SID=167
Good thinking, but if I remember correctly one of the issues is the size of cable that the controller terminals can physically accept. 2 x 6mm2 may be too large. But I imagine the OP's best-placed to work that out.
The SR530 controller will take up to 16mm2 cable.

Thanks David. I have no fear, for I have owned boats for 30 years....Oceanflex, a UK manufacturer supply tinned two core red and black sheathed in both round or flat profile up to 16mm2 including 8 AWG – 10mm2. It is only available as a 100m drum though. Altec Automotive and Aquafax are both distributors for Oceanflex so a call to either may well produce the goods. If you call Aquafax you may be better with Luton office. One thing I will say having bought the larger stuff even at my discounts is make sure you are sat down.
Hi all,
I need to buy some 10mm cable for my solar installation, but twin core with a sheaf is proving quite difficult to find.
Noticed this this morning whilst looking for something else ...
