Knot for mainsheet line to pulley

I generally use a bowline to attach the mainsheet to the supporting pulley hanging from the boom. However, I have never thought it looked right. Is there a better knot to use?

I've got into the habit of using the Selden Halyard Knot to attach it to the becket on the block.

Sanity alert. You probably will never get it undone, but it's a very useful knot.

On the basis that its not normally something you would want to untie why not "stitch and whip" a soft eye round the becket. No untidy end flapping in the breeze that you'll get with any sort of knot.

It might even be possible to incorporate a thimble to make it a hard eye.

The tense in which the question is framed suggests that the knot is untied and re-tied from time to time. If this is the case, while it's not the most aestheticallly pleasing, your bowline is the most practical knot to use, as it can always be undone.
