Hi Nick,

Where are you going? It's really bloody cold now, so anything to keep you even warmer - Maplins do some electrical warming stuff like vests, gloves and other stuff I cant recall.... I'd be seriously considering some of this type of stuff.

You can get headlamps with red bulbs. Not as bad for night vision, nor blinding others, and leave 2 hands free for whatever job is at hand.

I would ask the skipper about sleeping bags, pillows, LJ and harnesses, headlamps, tools. It would be crazy to cart more than you need to. Use any spare space for comfort foods which you would be happy to share.

Have a good time.... and Keep Warm!!! (I was bloody freezing off Holyhead 21st August, so God knows how cold it is now).

As well as a normal towel, I always take a small hand towel, which goes round my neck in bad weather and stops water running down inside my waterproofs.
