Kinsale Gas Field

I’ve been doing some initial planning in case we get a weather window that makes a jaunt from Scilly to Ireland at end Jul possible. I’ve been mindful of the notes re avoiding the now disused Kinsale gas field when I found several articles describing the removal of Rigs Alpha and Bravo during 2023. So are they all gone now so no longer need to be steered around if heading for Kinsale?

I'm not sure if this is one of the articles you've read but it suggests they have been removed, see under 2022, platform removal. It does seem to be definitive and must be true as there are pictures .

I feel old; I dived ROV & ADS on those in the early 80's....

We did Kinsale to the Scillies about this time last year. No sign of them

I feel even older! I was involved in the surveying of the area for possible routes for the pipelines to come ashore in the seventies. Where have the years gone?
