Just saw this article Bridge to close throughout summer for emergency repairs

It will be closed to pedestrians, cyclists, rail, road and maritime traffic on Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, June 9, Saturday June 15 to Saturday June 22, Saturday, June 29 to Saturday, July 6, and Saturday, July 13 to Sunday, July 14. This follows routine inspections revealing the condition of some of the 40 steel ropes, which support the bridge when it lifts for maritime traffic, has deteriorated.

I saw one of those big cargo coasters that go up to Sittingbourne pass outbound through Queenborough on Sunday, which suggests it must be opening. I'd still phone.

According to AIS there's a yacht heading west bound towards the bridge at the moment. Should be there in under an hour.

We passed through on Sunday morning after it opened as planned and were pleased to exchange pleasantries with the bridge master who appeared to have little business.We weren't sure that last minute issues would prevent the scheduled opening and checked by vhf before entering at Queenborough.
As suspected the Lady Clara had been first through on the early HW and was already busy unloading .

They have been keeping the web site up to date.
